Hey...It's Been A While.





Hey fellow bloggers....

Yeah..I've been M.I.A. in regards to my updates. But I haven't stopped in my efforts. As you all know..I lost my job back in April..and well..I have been unemployed ever since. So I decided to enroll back in school to pursue my degree. My hubby is supportive and encouraging. Plus in makes mbasic common since. My generation was one of the last to possibly be able to walk out of High School and get a job without a degree. But if you find yourself unemployed now..They won't even look at you.. Plus..I figured..with the way the world is now..I may never be able to retire.So I might as well be more employable. So...I'm off to do that in January.

As far as my workouts go. I'm still doing that. I've upped my jumping rope. I stay out side for an hour now. Many many songs on my I-POD on shuffle..so I never know how fast or how moderate the next song on my "Jump Rope " playlist will be. So it doesn't get too routine. Still using my DVDs ..P90X..Turbo Jam..and Slim N 6 randomly... and hitting the exercise bike as well.

Now although my clothes are fitting looser.. and I am seeing some results.. I am still not where I want to be. So .. What am I missing.. I figured.. A FOOD DIARY... I monitor what I eat.. No processed food. No whites like potatoes, white rice. What I'm not monitoring..IS HOW MUCH I eat. So starting today.. I'm going to make more of an effort to actually list and write down what is actually going into my mouth.

I'm still reading my OXYGEN..trying to stay inspired. Also reading and trying the recipes in "Clean Eating"... And getting general information from "Health"..which Is another magazine I think is great. Taking my low dose aspirin and fish oil pills...as heart disease runs in my family..and still drinking all kinds of Cranberry juice like it's going out of style.. As Kidney disease runs in it as well.

Since I have been so neglectful in my postings.. I thought I'd post the catcch up covers of the mags I read..to remind you to pick them up.

Well..I'll be back later to post my workout and my food intake..So I hope you all are having a great Sunday.

A Threshold CROSSED!

Okay..as you all know.. I do my jumping rope every day. I started with 30 minutes..of course not continuously..I WISH. But I put 30 minutes of music on my I-pod that has a nice steady tempo, and I use that to time how long I've been at it. ..As posted before..my goal is to be able to do 3 minutes..just like boxers round in a heavy weight bout. My song of choice has been "The Zephyr Song" By The Red Hot Chili Peppers" It's almost 4 Minutes long. Well... Usually I could only do about 1 minute and thirty seconds.

But Today... I did jumped roped to the entire 2 minutes and 4 seconds to "Papa's Got A Brand New Bag" By James Brown It nearly killed me, cause my sped was right with the tempo of the music.. But I DID IT!

I feel soooo friggin PROUD.

Plus...my hubby actually said that he could tell I was dropping weight. He noticed it. I couldn't believe it. He's one of those, has to actually get HIT BY THE BUS before he realizes it's there. So this is a big deal . I can actually see the deflation of the "Muffin Top"... theres much more work to go..But I see it. happening.

So I will keep you all posted as to my progress..

Hey ....Worried Here



Hey Bloggers.

Well..I've been doing pretty good in regards to my eating and exercising. Even with my leg pain. But now my leg pain is starting to worry me. I keep reading about P. A. D.
And I can't help but be worried. My only issue is that in recently losing my job, I have no insurance. And I don't have the financial means to pay for an exam. I plan on applying for state and federal help..strictly for the medicaid. But that will take time.

Ohh well..I'll figure it out.

But I want you all to know that I already got my newest issue of OXYGEN magazine. So make sure you look for it.

Also ... I hope you all are taking advantage , and drinking your fresh juices & smoothies.

Here are a few recipes for all of you to try. I made one of my own creation that is just awesome.

I used 3 green apples, two slices of pineapple, a bunch of green gapes, seedless of course, one peair, a handful of baby spinach, and two stalks of celery. It taste awesome.

Back For More

Hey Fitness Bloggers.

It's been a bit. But I have been doing well. I am working out. My jump roping is getting better. I still can't go the ENTIRE three minutes of "The Zephyr Song" just yet. But I can do 2 minutes, and my coordination and footwork is getting quite good I must say.

My eating habits are good. No garbage. Only thing is I like my Ocean Spray Cranberry juices. They have sugar, but I am very paranoid about getting my cranberry juice , because kidney disease runs in the family. Of course I know they sell it 100%pure without sugar, but that stuff is quite "BLECH".

I got some encouragement , when I put on a pair of pants that were so tight that I didn't wear them. I put them on the other day, and they zipped, and buttoned right up without a struggle. They even had they nerve to have a little give in them. It was a great reminder that I was achieving something, and that it wasn't going to happen over night. But with steady work and good eating habits..It will happen.

Okay..this is TMI..but... I will be doing my best to get a workout in , inspite of my cycle really hitting me today. I'm not feeling crampy at all right now. I'll have to wait and see if it hits me later. But I'm trying not to let that excuse come into play. I want to be able to fight through that and get my burn on.

Well..I accomplished doing my Turbo Jam Cardio Party which is 48 minutes long.

I just did some jump rope. I made it 1:45 into "The Zephyr Song". So I'm slowly but surely making progress. I also made it 1 minute into "Operation Spirit." Plus I did plenty more songs.

Okay..I just did 100 crunches..Okay, 4 sets of 25 with about a minute rest period in between. And I also did 50 Oblique curnches on each side.

Latest Oxygen

I hope your workouts are going well. I am still jump roping. I can make it half way through "The Zephyr Song" without stopping. Well..1 minute 38 seconds in. My goal is three minutes. 1 half stalk of Romaine Lettuce,

2 Green Apples
2 Kiwis
2 Celery Stalks
2 Cups of Green Grapes
1 teaspoon of Flax Seed Oil
1 teaspoon of honey.

Hey All~~~Been Away Awile

Hey bloggers. I know I've been away awile. I have been working out. Have had knee and leg problems. My hubby told me take a break I'm doing to much. And of course he was right.

What workouts am I doing. I'm doing a lot of jump rope in the morning. And I have an exercise bike as well. Now I'm starting to keep track of what I do in it. Still doing my videos.

The Lipo 6 is a good fat burner. It causes you to sweat and have a serious energy burst. But it could be too much for some.

Smoothies for breakfast and lunch. Also, taking my heart health seriously. I take one loew dose aspirin a day, and I am now ADDICTED to Pomegrante Juice. It's always the liquid base of my smoothies. So here are some statistics

I use a playlist on my I -Pod to Jump rope. Since I just started, I have a goal. My goal is to jump the entire play of "The Zephyr Song " By The Red Hot Chili Peppers
It's perfect cause of the tempo. It's almost 4 minutes long. It's a goal , LOFTY..but achievable with aa lot of work.

Okay... So I Did It





I took two of the Lipo 6 today. I did the regular morning one, and I did the afternoon 1. I am telling you.. I can make it through the Cardio Party 1 Turbo Jam DVD now. I have been getting my sweat on seriously. I'm going to do that all this week and then I'm going to really put it to the test. I'm going to start seeing if I can make it through the workouts that P90X has. I have YET to make it through 1 of those workouts. I have started, gone half way through , and gave out in the middle, or hell in the first 20 minutes. Well..I'll be pleased if I can make it half way through, if not 45 minutes.

But I just wanted to touch base with you to let you know the deal. I'm feeling great. Upping my meals.. up to 5 a day. Lots of water being taken in. Here's a couple of recipes for ya. Take advantage of your juicer , blender or both. You can fill up on natural frtuits and veggies, and help your metabolism in the process. Enjoy these.

Loving Lipo6 So Far

Okay...today.. I did the same thing I did yesterday. I followed the directions on the bottle of Lipo-6 . I waited a half hour. At a good breakfast. Then did my workouts. I didn't just do Turbo Jam Cardio party, which is about 45 minutes, I immediately afterwards did Turbo Jam Cardio Party 2 , I did about 25 minutes of a 42 minute video. That has never happened before. I didn't feel tired afterwards either. I felt invigorated.

I have decided that I'm only going to take this fat burner to build up my stamina through workouts. I will not be taking the second pill in the middle of the day if I'm not working out. I just find that too risky for my taste.But it has me doing my workouts without feeling beat afterwards. So I am kinda sold on this . But I'll let you all know about how I'm feeling later.

Later Today




Okay.. I promise, I am not the type of person to blame a product if I don't follow it to the letter regarding how to use. So having said that , I didn't take another one of the Lipo-6 fat burners this after noon. Don't get me wrong. I want to lose the weight. But I don't want to do anything to risky, and I find fat burners and anything that's suppose to help me lose weight, well I'm always a little leery .

Another problem, I need to eat more. I need to eat at least 5 small meals a day in order to kick my metabolism into high hear. I only had four small meals today. But in knowing that. I'm going to make an effort to add two snacks and I should be fine. But I am just not feeing hungry today. But anyway... I'm going to post some recipes for you guys. I hope you enjoy them.

Trying Something New

Hey Bloggers.

Okay....as you all know..I am soooo trying to lose weight and get into shape. You also know that I am newly out of work, and have vowed NOT to sit around the house and get FAT. So I have upped my workouts , and am putting more effort to make the condition I want my body in happen. Now as you know, I have been using "Slimquick Extreme" . Well, I can't blame it for NOT getting the results I want, cause the effort to eat right and exercise was up to me, a fat burner can only do so much. But I just felt like it wasn't really helping me. That was a few months ago. So now I'm trying
"Lipo 6" . Now, I have read some SCARY reviews about reactions about it's make up. But I have decided to try it anyway.

Now, this is my first day taking it. I'm suppose to take two, a half hour before breakfast , and then two later. But I am nervous about doing that since this is a new product. So...I took one exactly at 8:08 am. I waited a half hour. ate a small bowl of high fiber hot cereal and an 8 oz. protein shake. I waited a half hour and then begin my workout. Now I must admit, I could feel the burst of energy during my 48 minute Turbo Jam workout. I was hyped and ready, but not jittery and anxious. On the part of the video that wears me out, where I usually want to give up, I was actually energized , and made it through without that lull that makes me want to quit. I actually immediately after wards did another twenty minute video. I am still feeling very good, and quite proud of myself .

So I will let you know if later I have any jitters, or heart racing, or stuff that is not normal. But I wanted to share it so as you can see what may be good for you.

Latest News & Oxygen




Hey Bloggers .. I hope that you all are enjoying the drink recipes. I have been doing great with my workouts. I am seeing changes in my body. I am feeling stronger as well.

Also, great news. My best friend who was recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes is seeing a great improvement in her blood sugar levels. She has completely changed her diet, is starting to exercise, and just totally taken control of her health. She hasn't stopped smoking yet, but I'm hoping that the natural effect of working out will make her ease off and quit eventually. Baby steps right.

In addition to being a total Oxygen fan , here's the August Issue. I am actually loving how they send them out so early. It gives you a chance to plan and incorporate their workout and meal plans in advance. I mean, this is the August issue and we aren't even halfway through June. I am also in love with their sister publication called "Clean Eating". My best friend lives with me, and she now reads these magazines as a way of helping her with her Diabetes, and her high cholesterol . I encourage you to pick up the latest copies of both of these magazines. I suggest subscribing since it's WAAYYYY cheaper.

I just wanted to touch base and let you all know that I am still out of work, but my depression disappears with each workout as I work toward another goal.

New recipe For all

Hey Bloggers. I didn't do much of anything today. I went for a mile walk with my friend for the first time. I have been trying to get her to stop smoking, and to exercise for a while. But a recent diagnosis of Diabetes has given her a reason to do so. So I took her to the track with me and we walked a mile. I'm trying to encourage the healthy eating as well. She is quite unnerved by all this, so I'm trying to be a bit of stern and helping support.

Today I Did

Well...Be proud of me..I made it through the entire 45 minute Cardio Party 1 of Turbo Jam. Never had before. It's really big on squats and kicks..and man My legs are feeling that...as well as the two mile walk I did today. I did my walk with my 5 lb. dumbbells. I did Walking lunges around the track, alternating Military arm presses , and bicep curls around the track. My arms feel it.

I also did some ball crunches for my ab workout. So I got some of everything in today.

Good Day All

Well... I'm dragging behind right now. I do intend to get my cardio Photobucketworkout in. I think I'll try to do Turbo Jam Cardio Party 1. I have never made it through that workout, I'll try it today. I'm going to also try to do the Slim In 6 Ramp It Up. That will be more than 1 and a half hour of cardio with some resistance training. It is a bit lofty..especially knowing that my knee is bothering me . That reminds me, I need to buy some glucosamine for that.

But I will check in to let you know what I accomplished today.

So Far ..I've Done

I did the 48 minute Turbo Jam Cardio Party 2 Photobucket , and after that I did the Turbo Jam 20 minute Workout. Photobucket WHOO HOO ME!... That's an hour of straight cardio. I've been working up to that point. Now I have to find a video I like that is an hour STRAIGHT THROUGH. With this one I have to switch DVD's and that small lull is enough to slow my heart rate , and not give me the high amount of burn I want. But that's okay.. I'm working on it.

Another thing. The soreness from yesterday was helped by exercising today. I can so feel my body in full burn mode. I'm off to eat a lunch, watch Jeopardy, let it digest, then I'm gonna do my strength training. At about 1:30. I'll let you know how it goes.

Here It Am Again

Okay...I'm starting with my cardio today..as I got side tracked yesterday. But I can tell you..My body is feeling the workout it did yesterday. So that makes me feel good. I like the pain somewhat. A lot of times , I'm always questioning whether I am doing an exercise correctly, but when you feel the soreness in the muscles and not in the joints. YOU KNOW you worked it.

I had a great INTENSE workout session at home today. I helped myself by turning off the t.v., something I never usually do. And I was more focused today. In addition. I had the music on through my I-Tunes..and used my new Aerobic Workout Playlist for my I-pod...It was really motivating and fun to use. Here's my Playlist. This playlist is exactly 1 hour & 30 Minutes. Whenever I stopped to catch a breath, I paused the music so I could know I was working out the FULL TIME. I felt awesome. As what I did above really got my heart going, I actually broke a sweat. I didn't get to do Turbo Jam..Had a few errands to run. But It was a great attempt , and a great effort. I'm gonna start my day with my cardio tomorrow, and see if I can repeat this regime.

Well... What I'm going to try to do is put down the areas I intended to target today ,and for how long. I think it will give me a good sense of where I'm exceeding and where I'm falling short. So I'll give you the run down.

Saying Hello



Hey everyone... I know I've been away . Still outta work. I'm working out more, so I'm not trying to get stuck on my PC, cause I'm one of those people,I'll sit down intended to only spend 20 minutes on, and I'll be here on the net ALLLLLLL DAY!. So I'm doing more walking and running.

My best friend was just diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. So I'm trying to help and encourage her to eat better, stop smoking and start exercising. She lives with me, so it shouldn't be too hard. She's already let little things rub off on her. It's such a BIG change in your way of life, I know it's not going to be easy for her....But she knows me and my hubby are here for her.

I already got my JULY 2008 issue of OXYGEN MAGAZINE .. Make sure you look out for it.

Also..I know many of you come here for the Fresh Juice and Smoothie Recipes..Well..I haven't been doing a a lot of scanning lately.. But I will try to post some later this week..In the meantime. I wanted to give you a fresh and NATURAL recipe for one of MY favorites..

STRAWBERRY LEMONADE
... Follow this ..It is absolutely AWESOME..

Ingredients

One 16–ounce glass
1 cup strawberries, stems removed (4 to 6 medium berries)
½ lemon
1 Fuji apple (or other sweet, juicy eating apple) cut in quarters ice cubes (fill 3/4 of glass)
Sparkling water (just enough to top off glass)
Directions

1. In a juicer, juice strawberries, lemon, and apple.
2. Pour mixture into a highball or cooler glass. Add a handful of ice and top with sparkling water. Stir to combine and serve.


Now if it's a little tart for your taste..add SPLENDA..not regular sugar.

Back

Hey Bloggers...How are all of you ? Yes I'm still out of work. But I'm doing okay so far. Just still looking for employment. I'm seriously thinking of going back to school and getting my Associate Degree. I've been a working stiff all my life. But I think it's time to get some educational credentials behind me. So I'm doing my research..Checking into financial aid...and all that. I'm still exercising . Just not as intensely. I'm trying to stay on the ball.

I had an unfortunate incident, where a pic was taken of me, and I couldn't believe how HUGE I looked. When I look in the mirror I don't see that at all..but I was close to tears. I'm thinking I only needed to lose about 30pounds, but the pic looks more like I need to lose about40. It's so depressing.

I tell ya ..It's hard to keep my spirits lifted with all of this going on. But I'm trying.

Great Sunday Bloggers.....


And why do I think that?...I DON'T KNOW... I'm just feeling very good right now. I wanted to touch base with the world through the blogesphere.

Okay..so I haven't gotten any calls for jobs yet. But I won't panic just yet. My hubby is telling me to enjoy my time at home right now, and not to worry. He's says I'll be back in the thick of it before I know it..then I'll really be whining. And he's right. So in the meantime.

Yesterday , I went out and did the shopping. While I was out, I was thinking about my renewed vigor for exercise, and was feeling good. I thought about how I wanted to order the
The Eat Clean Diet Book By Tosca Reno ... because even though I am an avid juicing maniac, I wanted to really learn and start to eat properly to achieve my goals. SO I went to Barnes & Noble and picked it up. I figured I'd save on the cost to ship it to me and just pay the 16.95. This Is it.


I would like to recommend that all that are interested pick it up as well

Lots Of Lunges..Lots Of Walking..Some Running

Hi All....

Well..as you all know..I am still out of work. I'm putting out feelers, applying for jobs.. Waiting to get a call.. But In the mean time..I have upped the ante on my working our. Doing my Turbo Jam, and my Slim N'6..I want to work it back up so I can do P90X. I have a personal goal I want to achieve. I don't want to say what it is, cause I will be embarrassed if I don't achieve it. But I will let you know..as I work out..It is all I think about.

Yesterday...I ran half Photobucketa mile, and walked 1 mile. Each day I'm going further and further in my efforts to be able to run a mile. But something I also did while going around the track...I did lunges. I would stop in the middle of my walk and do 24 lunge steps forward. That's 12 on each leg. I did that 3 times...And let me tell yeah..When I got up this morning..

MY THIGHS WERE ON FIRE!!!!!!!!!!

But I think you will be very proud of me. Because..instead of looking at the pain as an excuse to rest and not work out ...I took it as encouragement that I actually DID something productive and helpful towards my dream goal. I got up , got out earlier than yesterday...AND DID IT AGAIN TODAY!...Not only THAT...But I added an extra 4TH SET OF 24 WALKING LUNGES!Photobucket

So I'm sure I'll be feeling this in the morning...heck..probably later this evening...But that's okay ...I think this is what I need to stay motivated, and occupied during the job hunt.

Now, I'm in the process of researching, reading, and learning to refine my diet. As you all know..I am a JUICING FANATICPhotobucket .. I loves my fresh juices...But obviously I can't truly live on it..My body needs fuel to burn for intense workouts, and protein to build muscle..SO I'm looking into many options for supplements....And there are SO MANY out there. Give you a few examples of some I've tried,and some I'm thinking of trying...

GNC ' Whey Protein

Now...I've tried the Chocolate Carmel (Photobucket It's okay) , And the Strawberry (Photobucket ) , which I could do without.

Now I absolutely LOVE The P90X Results and Recovery Formula Photobucket , a little too much.. I'm afraid I'll abuse it. It has a wonderful Orange flavor. My only issue is that Beachbody takes there TIME shipping to you. And I would hate to run out.

But I'm thinking of trying Whey Gourmet , BSN , & ISO Femme
These are all of the products I am considering adding to my regiment. has anyone tried any of these?...If so tell me about your experience . I really would like to know.
